LIGHTING RETROFIT FOREMAN

As the Crew Leader you will supervise the crew members, ensure safety is the priority and enforce policies and procedures explained in the Company Handbook.

Job Description
  • Prioritize the project tasks given to you by the Project Manager and appropriately delegate those tasks to the team.
  • Ensure that all crew members are always using proper safety gear and precautions.
  • Prepares materials and keep material inventories.
  • Complete all necessary administrative paperwork such as filling out daily work tickets, taking necessary photos, checking in/out of jobs, and communicating with PM’s on job status and issues.
  • Ensures projects are completed to scope and workmanship is up to code.
  • QC’s projects on close out.
  • Responsible for enforcing state laws such as the required 15-minute rest break and the 30-minute meal breaks that all employees are entitled to take.
  • Escalate any personnel issues immediately to the Project Manager.
  • Assist installing the light fixtures, lamps, ballasts, controls or other items associated with the lighting systems.
  • Work from ladders, lifts, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures. Perform physically demanding tasks while conveying knowledge of basic/specialized tools and equipment throughout service job/work order process.
  • Must understand and comply with Government/Local regulations and ordinances as well as any/all required Safety Guidelines.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Required to have at least 5 years of Lighting and Retrofit experience
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree
  • Required valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel
  • Must be reliable
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong customer service skills as you will work directly with on-site personnel
  • NRLT, CSLT, and/or CALT Certification preferred.
  • Must be willing to work overnights
Physical Requirements
  • Overnight travel is required up to 80%
  • Lift/push/pull up to 20 lbs
  • Technicians may drive to multiple job sites daily
Work Environment
  • Employee will work in a variety of environments including large retail stores, commercial buildings, warehouse space, etc.
